Je pensais partir en Islande avec ce joli châle mais le hasard en a voulu autrement..

On est allé en Ardèche, ca y ressemble un peu.......

On a fait un détour à Jaujac, c'est un très joli village....

On a aussi visité Moudeyres en Haute Loire et là j'ai cru que c'était le village des schtouphs je ne suis pas sortie du sac de maman, j'avais peur d'Azraël " le chat de Gargamel"

Les rideaux des maisons ont donnés des envies à maman

Nous avons pour terminer notre séjour trouvé un petit coin de paradis......

J'ai entendu dire qu'on allait y retourner...

I got a new silk kimono, knit top-down. I wish it was longer, but that's how much yarn there was. I had to go all the way to Canada to see daffodils:  

Annis shawl for Dutch Theodóra

Dutch Theodóra is happy with her mini Annis shawl. Her Woman knitted one for her from some handspun yarn. Although spring has sprung in The Netherlands and the tulips are blooming, it can be a little bit cold in the garden. A warm shawl keeps the shoulders warm!

Ravie de vous rejoindre, même si pour l'instant je reste au chaud. Il faut avouer que je n'ai pas encore eu le temps de me tricoter une tenue un peu plus adaptée à la température extérieure...Jugez vous-même!

Dutch Theodóra in the snow

Look o look: we had some snow in the Netherlands last week and temperatures dropped down to a seldom felt -16'C! Dutch Theodóra desperately needed warmer clothes, so I finished her Lett Lopi sweater and knitted her a warm skirt. Still she doen's wear socks yet, but I found some wooden shoes for her to wear. No need to walk in the snow on bare feet. My intention was to knit her a Staphorst costume, that's the reason the skirt is a little shorter then in the pattern. Now I've changed my mind, because Dutch Theodóra is not a very Staphorst type of girl and I will probably rip the skirt back and knit her some warm pants instead.

Par ce matin froid d'un hiver particulièrement rigoureux, Théodora a emmené promener au jardin Smali et la nouvelle Smalette.

Anchorage

I got to go to Anchorage last week. The best thing about Anchorage are the views of mountains all around. So my view is dominated by the hotel's other towers, but there are still mountains:















Even some alpenglow on them:



















One day I got out to see the statue of Captain Cook:




















Then there's the view of the frozen Cook Inlet:














So nice to get out into the sunlight!















On the way home we got a view of Denali, also known as Mt McKinley, the tallest mountain in North America:















I almost lost my hat in the airplane, but the nice man behind us found it. Yay!
